I have all my bookmarks to display just the favicons, that saves lot of space in the toolbar. It's pretty easy to identfy a site you are browsing. I used <a href="http://www.favicon.cc/">www.favicon.cc</a> to generate one using the color theme of blog, but when I changed the theme, I decided to have the same favicon. After Google change the favicon, it takes a while to get used to new one. So, I thought, it will be the same effect on my readers. It's usually the first thing I get done on a new site but those are sites I'm designing for clients that have logos so it's easy to come up with one. I appreciate the feedback though! It is nice that it matches your header, and it's distinctive. I'm a big fan of favicons myself. I always have to get one right away when I start a new site. That's why deciding on a favicon can be so difficult. You'd never think this tiny little square could cause so much bother! My initial thought about a favicon for you was to use something like the UK's <a title="Link to Daily Telegraph" href="http://www.telegraph.co.uk/">Daily Telegraph</a> or <a title="Link to New York Times" href="http://www.nytimes.com/">New York Times</a> with a calligraphy-esque H in black type on a white background but I never mentioned it.
