  1. 1. Has it been helpful to you so far?

Yes, definitely. Slipped behind a little so I'm up to about day 22 now, but I like that the tasks are "timeless" anyway so you can run your own pace.

    2. What task/s has been most helpful?

    Day 4 - Analyze a Successful Blog

Day 6 - Learn from these 10 expert bloggers

    Day 12 - Editorial Calendars

    3. What do you think about the frequency of Tasks? (I know it's been overwhelming for many)

Its fine.  Like I said the tasks are timeless, so if you drop behind its okay, and enough ppl drop behind that the forums discussion is still active when you get to a given day.

    4. Would you like this forum to continue after the end of 31DBBB?

Yes, but it would be great if 31DBBB was just one section of a more comprehensive Problogger Forum (don't you think its time you had a forum on PB for the massive community?)

    5. Would you like me to keep sending the occassional 'task' to the email list?

Yes, and/or make it part of the aforementioned forum.

    6. What impact has 31DBBB had on your blog (if any)?

I think the impacts aren't immediate and will take some time to really appear as I methodically put into practice what I've learned and keep working on the blogs for months and years to come.

    7. If I produce a PDF workbook with all of the daily tasks would you buy it (I'm thinking it'll sell at $10-$15)?

Yes, if I were launching a new blog or revitalising one.

    8. Any other feedback you'd like to give?

I really appreciate you putting this challenge together and inspiring such blogging activity.  You put a lot out there for free and its so incredibly useful and valuable to all of us.

  2. 1. Has it been helpful to you so far?

It has been a great hep to me as it really opened my eyes to just how much of my blog I could improve

    2. What task/s has been most helpful?

Honestly, every single post in 31DBBB has helped me and so it really is difficult to say which one has been the most helpful.

    3. What do you think about the frequency of Tasks? (I know it's been overwhelming for many)

I really like the fact that there is a post everyday and I constantly find myself feeeling eager to read the next post.

    4. Would you like this forum to continue after the end of 31DBBB?

It would be wonderful if this forum would still be continued as it just furthered my knowledge of blog building, by hearing everyone elses views and opinions about things.

    5. Would you like me to keep sending the occassional 'task' to the email list?

That would be great as I wouldn't like to wait another year for the next 31DBBB post!

    6. What impact has 31DBBB had on your blog (if any)?

Since participating in 31DBBB I have definitely noticed my traffic stats picking up. My blog's traffic had probably doubled by the time I'd got to the 10th day.

    7. If I produce a PDF workbook with all of the daily tasks would you buy it (I'm thinking it'll sell at $10-$15)?

I am always looking for ways to improve my blog and workbooks and ebooks are a main source so I would definitely want to buy a PDF workbook.

    8. Any other feedback you'd like to give?

I have really enjoyed the tasks so far, they have been extremely helpful and insightful!

  3. 1. Has it been helpful to you so far?

Yes, I believe so. It helps to refocus and review all the tips and techniques you have suggested.

    2. What task/s has been most helpful?

Not just one task has been the most helpful—I think the benefit it is more about collectively improving and focusing on the effort during a concentrated period. I like the synergy of what happens when a bunch of people work on the same tasks—and meeting other bloggers. Wish I had more time but I didn’t for this round.

    3. What do you think about the frequency of Tasks? (I know it's been overwhelming for many)

It was pretty fast paced and I don’t have a lot of extra time but I just got to them as I could. What I am sad about is that it seems to be a hindrance to interactions with those who are able to keep up. Perhaps breaking it into 2-3 weekly tasks would work better or taking a couple of days off might help people to catch up.

    4. Would you like this forum to continue after the end of 31DBBB?

I have not had the opportunity to participate in the forums as much as I would have liked—so yes. As a subscriber to the posts in my RSS feed it would find it useful and I would like to build better relationships with others committed to forward movement.

    5. Would you like me to keep sending the occasional 'task' to the email list?

    That would be great—a perk!

    6. What impact has 31DBBB had on your blog (if any)?

I haven’t seen much of any so far. I did get more comments on a couple of the task posts which I found to be great.

    7. If I produce a PDF workbook with all of the daily tasks would you buy it (I'm thinking it'll sell at $10-$15)?

Probably not. I’ve done Yaro’s complete Blog Mastermind but I would recommend it and would also love to be an affiliate. I also did Ed Dale’s 30 Day Challenge which was fabulous.

    8. Any other feedback you'd like to give?

Just thanks for the challenge and helping everyone focus and fine-tune. I read your blog regularly but because you get so many comments—unless I click in early I figure you have enough to keep up with!

  4. 1. Has it been helpful to you so far?

Definately!  It has brought a new level of awareness to my blog that wasn't there before.  Traffic increased a LOT since participating in your course - probably due to traffic from othere ProBloggers taking the course.

    2. What task/s has been most helpful?

Having someone else analysis my blog - that was very helpful.  No matter what you think about your own blog, it really takes someone else looking at it (especially someone you know) to make you very hyper aware.

Editorial Calendars was also HUGE!  I realized while doing the editorial calendars that I could schedule posts in advance (can you tell I'm a newbie?)

    3. What do you think about the frequency of Tasks? (I know it's been overwhelming for many)

It's a LOT but it's good.  The frequency of tasks means a frequency of great information which you can never have enough of.  The fact that you keep them on your blog thus allowing us to reference them at our own pace takes care of the anxiety of not keeping up.

    4. Would you like this forum to continue after the end of 31DBBB?

    Yes, please.

    5. Would you like me to keep sending the occassional 'task' to the email list?

    Yes, please.

    6. What impact has 31DBBB had on your blog (if any)?

Traffic is up and my blog looks series now - it has a lot of the great widgets up - it looks real!!

    7. If I produce a PDF workbook with all of the daily tasks would you buy it (I'm thinking it'll sell at $10-$15)?

Probably not - you have so much information on line that I probably wouldn't want a booklet.

    8. Any other feedback you'd like to give?

Lurve the challenge! What is our graduation gift??  (LOL!)

  5. 1. Has it been helpful to you so far?

    Phenominally, yes.

    2. What task/s has been most helpful?

That's a really tough call. Many of them have been greatly helpful. I've completely redefined my understanding of blogging and the way I would structure a new blog. When I start my next blog, March 16, 2010, it's going to be completely different thanks to this course.

    3. What do you think about the frequency of Tasks? (I know it's been overwhelming for many)

I think they're well paced. They may have seemed to be coming rapidly, but that's the tempo of real life, and so I think a blogger benefits from practicing working at that pace.

    4. Would you like this forum to continue after the end of 31DBBB?

Yes. Having somewhere I can associate with and learn from other bloggers has been one of the greatest helps I've encountered.

    5. Would you like me to keep sending the occassional 'task' to the email list?

    Yes.

    6. What impact has 31DBBB had on your blog (if any)?

    See question #2.

    7. If I produce a PDF workbook with all of the daily tasks would you buy it (I'm thinking it'll sell at $10-$15)?

Not unless I were loaded. Maybe at some later time when money wasn't so tight, but not in the present.

    8. Any other feedback you'd like to give?

This was really great. Keep up the good work.

  6. Hello Darren,

    Thanks for doing this 31DBBB

    1. Has it been helpful to you so far?

It has made me think of so many different angles to blogging.  I am fairly new to the game so any help I can get I appreciate.

    2. What task/s has been most helpful?

I was very happy to have had to gather 10 post ideas, once the ball started I just kept generating ideas.  I was also very happy to learn about StatsCounter, so I can plan my calendar.

    3. What do you think about the frequency of Tasks? (I know it's been overwhelming for many)

I was chugging along fine until I hit the Easter Weekend, which put me behind.  I would have liked to have the weekends off to give myself time to catch up if I missed anything in the week.

    4. Would you like this forum to continue after the end of 31DBBB?

That would be great - I have kept the emails so I can go over some of the tasks again.  I am not very technical so some of the tasks have taken a bit longer than I had hoped - as in getting the StatCounter to work as a Wordpress plugin

    5. Would you like me to keep sending the occassional 'task' to the email list?

    Yes please!

    6. What impact has 31DBBB had on your blog (if any)?

I have installed the Add Post Ideas to my dashboard so I can alway have one place for ideas.

I am also commenting on other blogs a lot more so I hope that will help me get a bit more traffic.  I have also started using Twitter, which has given me more follower than I thought.

    7. If I produce a PDF workbook with all of the daily tasks would you buy it (I'm thinking it'll sell at $10-$15)?

I might but at the moment money is extremely tight.

    8. Any other feedback you'd like to give?

Thanks for making my head hurt.  Vx

  7. 1. Has it been helpful to you so far?

Yes, extremely helpful. Working at home, working my hours, I need an outsider keeping me on track.

    2. What task/s has been most helpful?

Defining my niche within my niche. I write a food blog, which has hundreds of options. I knew what I wanted to do, and this has helped me narrow it more and I am still working on this.

Analyzing my stats. I had grown lazy with this.

Planning my posting in such a way as to entice my readers to come back the next day.

And, so much more. All of it has been so helpful and is universally helpful. In six month I can do all the exercises again and still learn and grow.

    Day 12 - Editorial Calendars

    3. What do you think about the frequency of Tasks? (I know it's been overwhelming for many)

This was a bit much and falling behind started to discourage me. I was surprised you included weekends and even Easter Sunday. I am a processor, have to think about a task before I actually do it. I had a hard time keeping up and have ten days in the middle I haven't even looked at yet. What made this equally hard was finding another blogger to keep up with the same pace. I would now like to do this again working with a few other food bloggers.

    4. Would you like this forum to continue after the end of 31DBBB?

Yes,  absolutely. I was actually sad for it to be over.

    5. Would you like me to keep sending the occassional 'task' to the email list?

    A big yes.

    6. What impact has 31DBBB had on your blog (if any)?

I can see already my stats have changed, but I am NOT done. I know I have a great blog, once readers get to it. I can do the content and the beautiful pictures. I'm very weak on knowing all the technical stuff to get the readers there, but I have complete faith that I deserve to have thousands of readers. I just need mentors like you.

    7. If I produce a PDF workbook with all of the daily tasks would you buy it (I'm thinking it'll sell at $10-$15)?

    Yes,  you deserve that.

    8. Any other feedback you'd like to give?

I'm sure there is, and I'll return with that.  I want to repeat what someone else said here. "thanks for making my head hurt."

  8. Has it been helpful to you so far? Yes, the course has been incredibly helpful

    2. What task/s has been most helpful? Finding a blog buddy, Getting your reader involved, Asking the reader questions.

    3. What do you think about the frequency of Tasks? (I know it's been overwhelming for many) I fell behind a few times, but it was easy to pick it up again.

    4. Would you like this forum to continue after the end of 31DBBB? Yes, I'm still learning and dropping by the forum will be a great place to ask more questions.

    5. Would you like me to keep sending the occassional 'task' to the email list? Yes. Please do.

    6. What impact has 31DBBB had on your blog (if any)? My readership is up 25%. I'm getting more comments(which was one of my goals). I have a better template.

    7. If I produce a PDF workbook with all of the daily tasks would you buy it (I'm thinking it'll sell at $10-$15)? Possibly, if you added some of your students' tasks and some of their questions.

    8. Any other feedback you'd like to give? I'm ready for Part 2. When will it be starting?

All the best Darren. This has been a great experience. Heather (AKAmamma)

  9. Hi all and Darren,

    1. Has it been helpful to you so far?
Yes. It mainly helped me in being a lot more productive in my work as a blogger. As I also have a number of Hebrew websites (I'm in Tel Aviv Israel), I find this month and it's tips to be highly useful, but alas- sometimes I think that the Israeli-blog world is not open enough to the rest of the world....

    2. What task/s has been most helpful?
Due to lack of time, I still haven't done all of them yet! :)

    3. What do you think about the frequency of Tasks? (I know it's been overwhelming for many)
Hmmm... well, on the one hand- I think it was a bit too much for me, and I knew from the get go that I won't be able to give it attention every single day. So I'm doing it in my own pace, which works well for me so far.
But on the other hand- I agree with what Darren said in the beginning, having a goal each and every day (or other day) keeps you very focused and you know what you need to do and you just do it, because you want to give blogging your best shot.
So yeah, it can be a bit too much, but on the other hand, if you want to make money by blogging you need to work everyday to make it happen.

    4. Would you like this forum to continue after the end of 31DBBB?
I didn't use the forum so I'm not sure I should be answering this one...

    5. Would you like me to keep sending the occassional 'task' to the email list?
Sure! Anything that you would happily help me with I will be grateful with!

    6. What impact has 31DBBB had on your blog (if any)?
I think there were more comments on my blog since the 31DBBB started, and I think I gave it a lot more of attention. I'm not sure about traffic, but I think that if I do the tasks for a while on a regular basis, I'm heading in the right direction, you know what I mean?

    7. If I produce a PDF workbook with all of the daily tasks would you buy it (I'm thinking it'll sell at $10-$15)?
I'm not sure I will buy it, as I already have the e-mails and my notes (although I wouldn't mind buying it as a thank you to Darren for all his help!), but I will be signing up to any kind of affiliate to sell and promote it on my websites!!! And if there won't be an affiliate, I will not sign up and still promote it on my websites.

    8. Any other feedback you'd like to give?
This kind of thing is very helpful and I think that maybe looking at blogging in different countries (say.... Israel? just a thought... heheh) can be helpful to those of us who are not in the USA or Australia or Europe. I mean, blogging in Hebrew for example already makes my blog a very niche blog. Is it worth it? That sort of thing.
    Just a thought. :)

Other than that- a big fat THANK YOU for sharing your tips with us!

  10. 1. Definitely helpful!
    2. I found most of them helpful, even though plenty of these things were familiar to me before, but this reminded me of doing these things again.
    3. Bit overwhelming, but I managed to do almost everything and in time.
    4. Yes, definitely!
    5. Occasional tasks would be great.
    6. My statistics have been growing since, +20% and I love it. I did do visual redesigner during this and my blog was chosen as the food blog of the month (in Finland), so those could have an impact too ;)
    7. My boss could be interested.

  11. 1. Has it been helpful to you so far? Yeah, definitely. My blog had no real direction before, now I'm always thinking of post ideas, outside the box, and I'm posting way more frequently now. I've got more readers and overall everything is just better.

    2. What task/s has been most helpful? The one about editorial calendars and post ideas, and also the ones about linking to old posts and revisiting old posts. Those have been the best. Also responding personally to comments has really helped too.

    3. What do you think about the frequency of Tasks? (I know it's been overwhelming for many) I just do them when I have the time, one a day but not in consecutive days. Like, I'm on day 22 at the minute, but I've probably been doing it for about 35 days so far. I'm behind but that's cool. Maybe every 2 days would be better?

    4. Would you like this forum to continue after the end of 31DBBB? Yes, absolutely. It's been quite helpful and there's a good community sense happening.

    5. Would you like me to keep sending the occassional 'task' to the email list? Yeah, that's a great idea, please do!

    6. What impact has 31DBBB had on your blog (if any)? I have more readers now, (not loads but its a slow process I know) I post more often, I manage my blog better, I think about how it comes across to others, it's just better really.

    7. If I produce a PDF workbook with all of the daily tasks would you buy it (I'm thinking it'll sell at $10-$15)? Personally, no, but that's because I'm broke/unemployed/student-y type

    Posted 1 year ago #
  12. 1. Has it been helpful to you so far? Yes! Definitely!

    2. What task/s has been most helpful? All of the tasks that related to creating "sticky" posts and to turn visitors into readers.

    3. What do you think about the frequency of Tasks? (I know it's been overwhelming for many) I think every other day would be good, but it seems to be going okay. I have a list of notes and tasks related to the 31DBBB to do in the future based on the tasks that I couldn't squeeze in from day to day.

    4. Would you like this forum to continue after the end of 31DBBB? Yes!

    5. Would you like me to keep sending the occassional 'task' to the email list? Yes, absolutely, that would be great!

    6. What impact has 31DBBB had on your blog (if any)? My RSS subscribers have increased 10% since the start of the challenge. My daily page views have also been consistently higher and not spiking and dropping as much as they had been.

    7. If I produce a PDF workbook with all of the daily tasks would you buy it (I'm thinking it'll sell at $10-$15)? Yes, I would. I was actually looking around early on for a "print this post" button because I wanted to make a binder of all of the tasks so I could keep them and refer back to them from time to time. Apparently I was too lazy to just copy and paste into a Word document ;-)

  13. This workshop has been invaluable for me. I appreciate what you are doing very much. After we are through, I would like to see perhaps a twice monthly refresher with a new topic, more indepth. The once a day format was appropriate because it really made me focus on the basics.

One area of assistance would be a lesson on how to set up, define and operate a sub niche forum on another persons blog site. I have been invited to moderate a group of users for fabric art on another blogspot.  I want to do it well the first go around, not have to go back and make modifications. There will be some trial and error I know, Any suggestions?
